Ranjan De was an Associate Professor at the School of Design and Innovation at RV University in Bangalore, before joining the BITS Design School. He has 15 years of experience working with the top 5 advertising agencies in India, and with the children's book publishing house – Tulika.

Thereafter, he has been associated with using design intervention in improving activity-based, self-directed curriculums across schools, design academies and universities across India for 23 years.

He has specialised in brand development, creating innovative and environmentally-friendly packaging design, location-based learning systems, illustrating children’s books, creative puppetry, stop motion animation and creating innovative accessible teaching aids and books for children.

He also provides consultancy for 2 partnerships in the areas of branding, research and publishing, and building wealth from waste and upcycling.
