journey
This 4-year journey of discovery aims to help students develop a personal viewpoint on design, considering its cultural, social, economic, and environmental implications. Secondly, it aims to equip students with the appropriate skills and competencies needed to operate with success in the design ecosystem. Third, it fosters an agile attitude towards the evolving role of a designer by developing people skills and life skills.
Through the course of the programme, each student is assigned an in-house mentor first and later, an industry coach. Every student is exposed to a capstone project in the final year.
Year 1 —
EXPERIMENT
The first year offers a multidimensional tasting experience designed to stimulate students' curiosity about the diverse choices of a career in the design world. Experimentation serves as the primary learning strategy, allowing students to acquire knowledge and understanding, and actively engage with and absorb the fundamental aspects of design. Activities include exploring materials, shapes, aesthetics, alongside social and ethical aspects.
FUNDAMENTAL
Fundamental courses constitute the core of the Bachelor of Design (Honours) programme. They include Design & Theory studies that every student, independently from personal interests, output profiles, and choice of specialisation, needs to master to understand and operate in the Design field at large.

EXPLORE
Being a designer today means leveraging past knowledge and taking a step forward. The second year of this program focuses on exploring the boundaries, logic, and processes that define "good design" and "good business". The key learning strategy involves:
- Analysing and studying design best practices
- Engaging with the industry and its processes
- Understanding global challenges
Students choose an elective path that guides their study plan for the following years, allowing them to acquire a specific professional role. This role can be more inclined towards working for the industry, developing one's own business, or undertaking a research role.
